VectoBac® is a highly effective biological larvicide against mosquito larvae and black fly that transmit the most serious diseases to humans, such as dengue, yellow fever and malaria, among others. In addition, they cause enormous inconveniences, affecting people’s daily lives, tourism and the economy of a region, causing disruption to certain groups of animals.
VectoBac® is obtained through a natural bacterium, called Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (Bti), through the most modern fermentation techniques, with strict control standards that attest to its high efficiency and quality.
VectoBac® has been used in public health programs for more than 30 years, in public health programs, with success and safety, since it is a highly selective product for the control of Diptera (mosquitoes) larvae, of the genera Culex, Anopheles, Simulium and Aedes.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has used VectoBac® in the Onchocerciasis control program in Africa since 1978 with high effectiveness, and recommends the use of Bti in its Approved Product Manuals for use in public health.
VectoBac® is registered in Brazil in three different formulations containing in its composition the AM-6552 strain certified by WHO (PQ / List).
VectoBac®AS, based on aqueous solution, VectoBac®G, based on impregnated corn cob granules and VectoBac®WG, based on water dispersible granules. These formulations allow the applicator to have more alternatives / flexibility to use the product in the most different situations and types of mosquito larvae.
VectoBac® is highly safe for man and the environment.
